I love how small and quaint this festival is. Very friendly visitors. Very rustic with limited power and no cell service. Great festival.
Most big renfaires are theme parks designed to separate you from your money. This is a small, intimate faire that's more like a party you've been invited to. Different atmosphere, a lot more enjoyable.
My family and I have been going to Ren in the Glen since it's inception. It's a lovely drive, parking is a breeze, and it never gets overcrowded like the one in Shakpoee. I highly recommend it to families both from the area and to folks in the Cities!

Great Ren Faire for kids. Lots of kids activities, less baudy than the larger faires. A couple of the stages are poorly placed near food/tavern making it hard to hear the entertainers. Also, more than one food establishment would help cut down on the 30-40 minute wait in line under the hot sun.
